Drunk Driver Charged After Fatally Striking Biker, Police Say
Amanda Overman, 30, is charged with intoxication manslaughter. She's accused of killing a 28-year-old motorcyclist with her SUV.

AUSTIN, TX - A woman is behind bars and accused of fatally striking a motorcyclist with her SUV over the weekend. Amanda Overman, 30, is charged with intoxication manslaughter.
According to the Austin Police Department, on Nov. 24, Overman was driving a maroon, 2003 Honda CR-V westbound along the 1100 block of E. Ben White Blvd. when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the center median. The vehicle ricocheted back into the roadway where it struck Risean Deontay Lee Green, 28, and the 2009 Yamaha motorcycle he was riding.
Police said Overman pulled into the shopping center located in the 700 block of E. Ben White Blvd. and was met by officers. After conducting a DWI investigation on scene, police said they determined that Overman was intoxicated.

Green was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He died there at approximately 7:44 p.m., police said.
