🌱 Easter Celebrations Around Austin + Daniel Sahad Of Nané Band Dies

  2. "Celebrate Easter weekend in the Texas Hill Country" at William Chris Vineyards' Easter Egg Roll event on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m.-Noon. The family-friendly event will feature free kids' activities, including egg coloring and decorating, photos with the Easter bunny, an Easter egg hunt for prizes at 11 a.m. and of course, the Easter Egg Roll which starts at 11:30 a.m. Admission is free for kids and tickets are $20 per adult and can be purchased HERE. "Tickets include wine tastings and food pairing options such as Easter candy toppings and goat cheese, as well as grab & go charcuterie cones."   3. Daniel Sahad, lead singer and founding member of Austin-based band Nané, passed away on Monday, April 11. A post on the band's Instagram page said, "It is with unbelievable pain that we have to share our beautiful leader, Daniel Sahad, passed away last night. Please give his family and friends the space they need to process this tragedy. Thank you all." The singer "was honored by the Austin Economic Development Department with a proclamation naming April 7 'Nané Day.'" Austin Mayor Steve Adler wrote on Twitter, "City Council was excited to have live music back in chambers last week for the first time since before the pandemic, and Nané was a great choice. This is very sad news. Our thoughts go out to Daniel's family and the band today." For more details please visit: (KXAN.com)
