AUSTIN, TX — Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has set off widespread buzz and speculation locally after changing the location for his Twitter account to Austin from California.

While Musk's signature company, Tesla, is based in Palo Alto, California, he's known to frequently change his social media bios to reflect his real-world decisions, as KXAN and other media outlets reported.

Once, as the news station reported, he changed his Twitter handle to "Treelon" and swapped his photo for one of a forest after pledging to donate $1 million in trees to a tree-planting campaign. Around the same time, the news station reported, Musk tweeted a cryptic poll with the caption "Giga Texas" — furthering speculation on his potential plans to build another Tesla Gigfactory in Central Texas.
