AUSTIN, TX — Otoko's signature bluefin breakdown — a spectacle usually reserved for national stages and private events dramatically illustrating the art in the making of sushi — is back, and better than ever, officials said.

The unique culinary demonstration is scheduled on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., during which Otoko head chef and sushi extraordinaire, Yoshi Okai, will showcase his considerable cutting skills as he carves a massive, sustainably farmed, 180-pound-plus Pacific Bluefin tuna that just arrived from Kindai University in Osaka, Japan. The spectacle represents the epitome of the Otoko work ethic in the preparation of sushi as illustrated by the surgical precision with which Okai takes to the task.

Tickets to see this unique culinary spectacle are $30, with the price of admission including freshly cut bluefin bites and handrolls, plus tastings from Niigata Sake, Helios Distillery, and Bushido Sake. Specialty cocktails from the mixologists at Watertrade will also be available for purchase.
