- What's The Story Steve? (Family-Friendly Improv): Move Your Tale and ColdTowne Theater will present What's the Story, Steve? A fully improvised, interactive journey through a story of the audience’s making, starring the improvising poodle, Steve Scott. Volunteer to be a part of the show or enjoy from your seat, either way you can get a high-five from Steve. Tickets are available at the door for $5 or in advance through the event. - Kidding Around Yoga Teacher Training: Kidding Around Yoga will host a Yoga Teacher Training on Saturday, Jan. 13 & Sunday, Jan. 14 beginning at 9:30 AM. This class is open to parents, yoga teachers, and all professionals who work with children. Students will learn how to teach yoga, mindfulness, and meditation to kids in schools, at home, and in the community. This training qualifies for 23 CEUs with Yoga Alliance. - When I Grow Up: Partners In Parenting delights in hosting its When I Grow Up Festival on Sunday, Jan. 14 from 10 AM - 2 PM. The event will take place at the Asian American Resource Center with tables set up and professionals interacting with kids to share tools of their respective trade. The main stage will include guests from artistic and entertainment fields and children will learn about being a children's musicians, story times, dance, yoga, and other performances throughout the day. - Family Day at UMLAUF: Come out with the entire family to enjoy a great day of activities and fun with UMLAUF's first Family Day of 2018 to be held Sunday, Jan. 14 from 12 PM - 4 PM. This FREE event will focus health & wellness and will include activities suitable for all ages. The Japan-America Society of Greater Austin leading a New Year calligraphy activity. Yoga Meditation Group will be leading a family meditation session and ATX Yoga Girl will be leading a kid-friendly yoga session. - Austin Family Magazine's 20th Annual Summer Camp Fair: Come out and visit a huge selection of summer camps geared to a variety of age groups, ability levels, and interests. Learn about camps including half-day, full-day, or overnight to be held on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 11 AM - 4 PM. There will be a GiveAway for over 20 camp experiences, and family four-pack tickets to Schlitterbahn. - Storybook Dance Making: Families are invited to join in on the fun of Storybook Dance Making to be held Saturday, Jan. 20 at 10 AM. Event will feature live music, games, and storybook reading. You'll enjoy a warm up, check-in activity, game, storybook reading, and dance making activity. Each lesson is aligned with the National Core Standards for Dance Education and taught by a Dance Waterloo artist. This class is best for families with children ages 4-7.
