Firefighters Descend Upon Complex Near UT-Austin

It's unclear what caused a fire in an upstairs unit of the Fountain Terrace apartments off Guadalupe Street; no injuries reported.

AUSTIN, TX — Firefighters responded to an apartment complex in the West Campus area for a reported fire on Friday afternoon.

Several fire trucks lined up outside the Fountain Terrace apartment complex around 4 p.m. at 610 W. 30th St. to battle what appeared to be a small fire inside an upstairs unit. Firefighters had to break through a window of the unit to enter as the occupant was not inside.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown.
