Here are the top stories in Austin today:

1) Hundreds of flights were canceled and delayed at the Austin International Airport (ABIA) yesterday. FOX 7 Austin reports that the majority of the canceled flights have been from Southwest Airlines. Southwest Airlines said in a statement: "We were fully staffed and prepared for the approaching holiday weekend when the severe weather swept across the continent. These operational conditions forced daily changes to our flight schedule at a volume and magnitude that still has the tools our teams use to recover the airline operating at capacity."

Neighbors, for anyone traveling out of ABIA today through Monday, Jan 2., we encourage you to keep a watchful eye on your flight's status before heading to the airport. Learn more about this story here at FOX 7 Austin.

2) Warmer temperatures are on the horizon! A cool front blew through Austin last night and will allegedly result in our final dance with freezing temperatures through 9 a.m. this morning. KXAN reports: "We are tracking two upper-level storm systems on their way toward Texas over the next week. The first clips our area on Thursday and early Friday with warmer, more humid air, increased cloud cover, and just a small chance of rain mainly east of I-35." Head over to KXAN to view the full weather forecast report.

3) Feral hogs continue to run rampant in Northeast Austin. Grace Howell, who lives near Walnut Creek in northeast Austin, tells KVUE: ""They destroyed the park, and they started going down the streets at night and getting into people's yards and digging up all the grass."" Community members report that a local homeowners' association hired a company to remove the hogs about two years ago, but now they are popping up again. KXAN has more on this story here.
