Float Fest Happening This Weekend Just Outside City Limits

SAN MARCOS, TX — Looking to get away this weekend? Searching for an event what will help your days off go swimmingly as you watch your troubles float away? We've got just the thing, just outside the city limits.

Float Fest, the only festival in the world combining the quintessentially Texas traditions of floating down the river and listening to live music, is happening this weekend on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22. The fifth annual music festival features headlines Tame Impala and Bassnectar with additional performances by Snoop Dogg, Modest Mouse, Run the Jewels, Cold War Kids, Lil Wayne and more, organizers said.

Gates to float the river opens at 8 a.m. and doors to music open at 2 p.m.

Music at Float Fest runs the gamut, with a curated mix of alternative, rap, indie rock, and EDM performers. There will be two main stages featuring non-overlapping sets.
