Funeral Scheduled For Noted Attorney Mark Kincaid

Texas Trial Lawyers Association president-elect suffered a stroke on Dec. 31.

DOWNTOWN AUSTIN, TX -- Funeral services have been scheduled Friday for prominent attorney Mark Kincaid, who suffered a stroke on New Year’s Eve from which he never regained consciousness.

Kincaid was 56 years old.

Funeral services will take place Jan. 22 at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 301 E. 8th St. at 2:30 p.m.

A reception will follow at 4:30 p.m. celebrating his life and legacy at the Texas Trial Lawyers Association for which he was the president-elect. The reception will be staged on the rooftop at the TTLA building, 1220 Colorado.

Kincaid also was an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Austin.

“Mark was brilliant and wise,” TTLA President Jeffrey B. Simon wrote on the trade association’s website. “At TTLA, Mark was always a source of great comfort and tremendous strength, and so, too, shall we be who mourn his passing.”
