AUSTIN, TX — What was believed to be an overnight grass fire late Monday ended up being a fully engulfed homeless encampment, fire officials said.
Firefighters wrote on Twitter that some ten tents were on fire when they arrived at the Interstate 35 frontage road at Ben White Boulevard at around 11 p.m. Road closures were implemented while firefighters fought the blaze, according to reports.
No injuries were reported.
