Horseshoe Bay Resort Offers Unique Spring Getaway Options

HORSESHOE BAY, TEXAS — This one's a bit off the beaten path, but yields a nice getaway opportunity within close proximity to Austin.

On March 13, Horseshoe Bay Resort welcomes back Cirque-Tacular Live, a spellbinding acrobatics performance that's complimentary to Horseshoe Bay Resort guests and members. As if that weren't enough of a draw, the resort's flagship event promises to reach new heights in uniqueness: The 7th Annual Balloons Over Horseshoe Bay Resort, will take place Easter weekend, April 19-21.

"Balloons Over Horseshoe Bay is a dazzling spectacle of hot air balloons against the idyllic backdrop of the Texas Hill Country," Horseshoe Bay Resort officials said. In addition to the balloons, the event includes live music, wine tastings, sky divers, arts and crafts, and local vendors. Easter weekend at Horseshoe Bay Resort also includes an Easter egg hunt and Easter brunch. More details will be released soon.

Daily events throughout March and April:

• Whitewater Putting Course
  • Happy hour at Whitewater Putting Course is from 3-5 PM each day and features 1/2 price putting.
• Family of Animals: Come meet the resort’s exotic animals on display daily at the Whitewater Patio and Putting Course. Hours are subject to change due to weather.
• The Jungle Kids' Club

• Tortoise Connection at Whitewater Patio: Mingle with our family of African Tortoises while you have the opportunity to feed, learn, and take memorable pictures with these lovable giants! Feeding cups are available for purchase at the Whitewater Putting Hut for $2/cup.
• Crafts in The Jungle Kids' Club: Show off your artistic skills by creating awesome crafts such as wooden wind chimes, decorative beach balls, sand art, friendship bracelets, and melting beads! $15/child all inclusive. A parent or guardian must stay with their child for duration of stay unless enrolled in the Kids Club program.
• Sno-Cones, Hair Wrapping, and Tattoos at Paseo Pool: Add some flair to your hair and decorate yourself with temporary tattoos while you cool off with a sno-cone by the pool! $10/hair wrap, 3 tattoos for $2, and $3/sno-cone.
• Squawk Talk on Whitewater Patio: Come chat with our aviculturists to learn interesting facts about our exotic animals…some of our birds might talk to you, too! (Complimentary)
• S’mores on Live Oak Lawn: Top your day off with a classic, sweet treat! (Complimentary)
• Birds of the Bay Show on Whitewater Patio: Meet our wide array of resort ambassadors while you learn about their everyday life and how they are trained here at Horseshoe Bay Resort. Don’t forget to take a memorable photo with your favorite! (Complimentary)
• Dive-In Movie at Paseo Pool: Relax poolside and watch a movie that the whole family will enjoy. Freshly popped popcorn available for purchase $3/bag.
