Interstate 35 Lane Closure List For Sept. 10 Workweek

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Texas Department of Transportation officials this week released their weekly list of lane closures along Interstate 35. It's a useful compilation of street closures that helps motorists plot their routes ahead of time to ensure a more seamless commute as they start the workweek.

These are the lane closures for the week:

I-35 AT FM 3406

• Southbound I-35 right lane closed between RM 1431 and FM 3406. The FM 3406 exit will also be closed.
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 through Monday, Sept. 10

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 right lane closed between SH 45 North and RM 620
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 through Monday, Sept. 10
• Northbound SH 45 North ramp to I-35 closed. Use other exit.
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 through Monday, Sept. 10

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Southbound I-35 left two lanes closed between US 290 E and Airport Boulevard
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 through Tuesday, Sept. 11
• Powell Lane closed at I-35. Use Wonsley Drive
  • Through September 2018

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed as needed between Oltorf Street and Woodward Street
  • from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Sept. 14
• Northbound I-35 frontage road closed as needed at Oltorf Street. Watch for flaggers.
  • From 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Sept. 14
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between SH 71 and Woodward Street
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Sept. 14
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between SH 71 and Oltorf Street. The Oltorf Street exit will also be closed.
  • From 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Sept. 11
• Various southbound I-35 ramp closures between Manor Road and Holly Street
  • From 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Sept. 11
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Oltorf Street and the Woodward Street exit
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 through Wednesday, Sept. 12
• Various I-35 frontage road closures in both directions across Oltorf Street
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept. 13
• Various northbound I-35 ramp closures between Holly Street and Manor Road
  • From 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept. 13
• Various Oltorf Street closures across I-35
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept. 13

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 closed under William Cannon Dr. Use the frontage road.
  • From 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Sept. 11
• Northbound I-35 closed under William Cannon Dr. Use the frontage road and the William Cannon Dr exit (#228)
  • From 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept. 13
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed approaching the William Cannon Drive exit
  • From 3 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Wednesday, Sept. 12
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Little Texas Avenue and William Cannon Drive
  • From 8 p.m. until 5a.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Sept. 14
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed at William Cannon Drive
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Sept. 11
• Northbound I-35 frontage road closed at Teri Road. The I-35 entrance ramp will remain open.
  • From 3 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Saturday, Sept. 15

MAINTENANCE CLOSURES

• Northbound I-35 lower deck closed through 32nd Street
  • From 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Thursday, Sept. 13
