Interstate 35 Lane Closures For April 13-19, 2019

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Texas Department of Transportation try to make your commute easier, they really do. To that end, they issue a weekly list of lane closures along the heavily traveled Interstate so that you, the driving public, can negotiate around such spots or avoid them altogether with the information beforehand.

And with that, here is the list of I-35 lane closures for April 13-19, 2019:

I-35 AT CR 305

• I-35 frontage road left lane closed in both directions at CR 305
  • Through April

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Powell Lane closed at I-35
  • Through April
• St. Johns Avenue reduced to one lane in both directions across I-35
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly between US 290 East and US 183
  • Sunday, April 14 through Friday, April 19 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between US 183 and US 290 East. The entrance and exit ramps will also be closed.
  • Sunday, April 14 through Wednesday, April 17 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed between Woodland Avenue and Oltorf Street. The entrance ramp south of Woodland Avenue will also be closed. Watch for flaggers.
  • Sunday, April 14 through Tuesday, April 16 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane daily between St. Edwards Drive and Woodward Street
  • Monday, April 15 through Tuesday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed between St. Edwards Drive and Woodward Street. Watch for flaggers.
  • Tuesday, April 16 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane in both directions at William Cannon Drive. The U-turns will also be closed.
  • Sunday, April 14 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane between Stassney Lane and Slaughter Lane. The entrance ramp at Slaughter Lane will also be closed.
  • Sunday, April 14 through Tuesday, April 16 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between William Cannon Drive and Boggy Creek Drive
  • Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily between William Cannon Drive and Foremost Drive
  • Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between Nelms Drive and Stassney Lane
  • Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Alternating I-35 frontage road closures in both directions between SH 71 and Slaughter Lane
  • Tuesday, April 16 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Alternating I-35 closures in both directions between SH 71 and Slaughter Lane
  • Monday, April 15 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• William Cannon Drive closed at I-35
  • Sunday, April 14 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Westbound William Cannon Drive right turn lane closed at I-35

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane in both directions between York Creek Road and Posey Road
  • Saturday, April 13 through Sunday, April 14 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

I-35 MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between 38 1/2 Street and 32nd Street
  • Monday, April 15 through Tuesday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• I-35 left lane closed in both directions between Airport Boulevard and Bentwood Drive
  • Monday, April 15 through Wednesday, April 17 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Riverside Drive
  • Wednesday, April 17 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 upper level closed between MLK Boulevard and Airport Boulevard. Ramps will be closed as needed.
  • Tuesday, April 16 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 upper level closed between MLK Boulevard and Airport Boulevard. Ramps will also be closed as needed.
  • Wednesday, April 17 through Friday, April 19 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Aquarena Springs Drive and East Hopkins Street
  • Monday, April 15 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
