Interstate 35 Lane Closures: April 25-May 1, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its latest list of Interstate 35 lane closures, yielding a helpful guide for drivers wishing to avoid potential congestion due to road work.

The latest list of I-35 lane closures covers the period between April 25 until May 1:

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• Southbound I-35 entrance ramp permanently closed at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Until further notice

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit ramp
  • Through early 2021

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Parmer Lane bridge closed nightly at I-35
  • Tuesday, April 28 through Wednesday, April 29 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Camino La Costa to St. Johns Avenue
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through mid-2020
• Southbound US 183 exit ramp closed at Cameron Road
  • Through mid-May
• South to north I-35 U-turn at US 183 will be continuously closed
  • Through May 2020
• Eastbound and westbound Norwood Park Boulevard closed at the I-35 frontage road
  • Until further notice
• Southbound US 183 right lane closed nightly from I-35 to Cameron Road
  • Sunday, April 26 through Thursday, April 30 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Barwood Park to US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, April 26 through Thursday, April 30 from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Blackson Avenue to Norwood Park Boulevard. The Rundberg Lane exit ramp (#241) will also be closed.

• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Cameron Road to Burnet Road

  • Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from US 290 East to Camino La Costa

• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Carver Avenue
  • Monday, April 27 through Tuesday, April 28 from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Bethune Avenue
  • Wednesday, April 29 through Thursday, April 30 from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road right lane closed daily from Bennett Avenue to Carver Avenue
  • Wednesday, April 29 through Thursday, April 30 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound US 183 closed from North Lamar Boulevard to Norwood Park Boulevard
  • Thursday, April 30 through Friday, May 1 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Woodland Avenue to SH 71. The Oltorf Street entrance ramp, Riverside Drive entrance ramp, Woodward Street exit ramp (#231) and Woodland Avenue exit ramp (#232) will also be closed.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 William Cannon Drive exit ramp (#228) will be temporarily closed
  • Through May 2020
• Eastbound and westbound Stassney Lane right turn lane closed daily at I-35
  • Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
• Northbound and southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily at Stassney Lane
  • Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Posey Road bridge closed at I-35
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 exit (#199) for Posey Road and exit (#200) for Centerpoint Road are closed
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from York Creek Road to Centerpoint Road
  • Monday, April 27 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from FM 1327 to Onion Creek Parkway
