Interstate 35 Lane Closures For April 4-10, 2020
While it's advisable to limit travel to the most essential of outings in light of COVID-19, here are areas where road work is planned.
AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation released its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures on Friday, a list invariably serving as a useful primer in avoiding potential traffic congestion.
Of course, residents should keep their travel to a minimum amid the current pandemic. To help mitigate the spread of respiratory illness caused by the COVID-19 virus, outings should be reserved for the most essential of trips — buying groceries at the grocery store, retrieving medicines at the pharmacy, conducting needed financial transactions at the bank.
But if you absolutely must drive — and if your travels include travel along I-35 — you'll be informed in advance of which spots to potentially avoid. This week's list covers the period between April 4-10, and here are the scheduled lane closures planned to accommodate road work:

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972
- Southbound I-35 entrance ramp permanently closed at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
- Until further notice
- Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly at CR 143
- Tuesday, April 7 through Thursday, April 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
- Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
- Tuesday, April 7 through Thursday, April 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

- Southbound I-35 right lane closed from Chaparral Road to Slaughter Lane. The old William Cannon Drive entrance ramp will permanently be closed.
