Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Dec. 7-13, 2019

AUSTIN, TX — Texas Department of Transportation officials have released their latest list of Interstate 35 lane closures, yielding a travel primer for drivers seeking to avoid potential congestion.

The weekly list of I-35 lane closures covers the period between Dec. 7-13.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• North and southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from FM 972 to Bud Stockton Loop
  • Until further notice

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from FM 3406 (Old Settlers Boulevard) to RM 1431 (University Boulevard)
  • Through late 2020

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Parmer Lane
  • Through early 2020

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Camino La Costa to St. Johns Avenue
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through mid-2020
• Southbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Carver Avenue to Cameron Road. The Cameron Road exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Dec. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 12 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from US 290 East to Rutherford Lane
  • Sunday, Dec. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 12 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Hermitage Drive to Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Dec. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 12 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 left two lanes closed nightly from Rundberg Lane to St. Johns Avenue
  • Sunday, Dec. 8 through Thursday, Dec. 12 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 intersection closed at St. Johns Avenue
  • Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Southbound I-35 left lane closed at Oltorf Street
  • Sunday, Dec. 8 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Woodland Avenue to Oltorf Street. The Oltorf Street entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Dec. 9 through Thursday, Dec. 12 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Battle Bend Boulevard to Williamson Creek
  • Monday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Posey Road bridge closed at I-35
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 exit #199 for Posey Road and exit #200 for Centerpoint Road are closed
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 right shoulder closed at Posey Road
  • Through late 2019

I-35 MAINTENANCE CLOSURES

• Northbound I-35 frontage road median closed daily from SH 45 to Wells Branch Parkway
  • Monday, Dec. 2 through Friday, Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
