Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Jan. 18-24

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its weekly list of lane closures along Interstate 35, yielding a helpful guide to motorists in avoiding potential traffic congestion.

The latest list is for lane closures planned from Jan. 18-24.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL

(BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

On Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m., the existing southbound I-35 entrance ramp just south of Ronald Reagan Boulevard will be permanently closed. A new entrance ramp at Ronald Reagan will open approximately one to two months after the existing ramp closes. During this time, those wishing to enter southbound I-35 will continue along the frontage road and take the next entrance ramp just south of FM 972.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to RM 1431
  • Through late 2020

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed from Parmer Lane to Yager Lane. The Parmer Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Thursday, Jan. 23 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed from Parmer Lane to Yager Lane
  • Thursday, Jan. 23 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Camino La Costa to St. Johns Avenue
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly from Cameron Road to I-35. The Cameron Road entrance and exit ramps will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 19 through Thursday, Jan. 23 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East. The northbound US 183 flyover and the southbound Rundberg Lane entrance and exit ramps will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 19 through Thursday, Jan. 23 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from US 290 East to Rundberg Lane. The northbound US 183 flyover and southbound US 290 East entrance and exit ramps will also be closed along with Exit #240 and Exit #241.
  • Sunday, Jan. 19 through Thursday, Jan. 23 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly from Rundberg Lane to Barwood Park. The St. Johns Avenue exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 19 through Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from Carver Avenue to Cameron Road. The exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 19 through Thursday, Jan. 23 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• East and westbound US 183 closed at Norwood Park Boulevard
  • Until further notice
• East and westbound I-35 closed at Hermitage Drive
  • Until further notice

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Woodward Street to Oltorf Street
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 right two lanes closed from Woodland Avenue to Woodward Street
  • Monday, Jan. 20 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right two lanes closed from Woodward Street to Woodland Avenue

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Battle Bend Boulevard to Stassney Lane

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left two lanes closed daily at Stassney Lane
  • Monday, Jan. 20 through Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound and eastbound I-35 right lane closed daily at Stassney Lane
  • Monday, Jan. 20 through Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Stassney Lane
  • Monday, Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
