Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Jan.4-10, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — Texas Department of Transportation officials have released their latest list of scheduled lane closures along Interstate 35. In do doing, state officials provide a helpful primer for drivers wishing to avoid potential congestion.

This week's list covers the period between Jan. 4-10.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• North and southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from FM 972 to Bud Stockton Loop
  • Until further notice

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from FM 3406 (Old Settlers Boulevard) to RM 1431 (University Boulevard)
  • Through late 2020

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Parmer Lane
  • Through early 2020

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Camino La Costa to St. Johns Avenue
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through mid-2020
• South to northbound US 183 U-turn will be closed nightly
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 left two lanes closed nightly from Rutherford Lane to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, Jan. 5 through Thursday, Jan. 9 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from US 290 East to Rutherford Lane
  • Sunday, Jan. 5 through Thursday, Jan. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Hermitage Drive to Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 5 through Thursday, Jan. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from Barwood Park to Powell Lane
  • Sunday, Jan. 5 through Thursday, Jan. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Northbound I-35 right two lanes closed from Woodward Street to Oltorf Street. The Oltorf Street exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Jan. 6 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly from Woodward Street to Oltorf Street. The Oltorf Street entrance ramp and Woodland Avenue exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 7 through Thursday, Jan. 9 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Boggy Creek Drive
  • Friday, Jan. 3 through Saturday, Jan. 4 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
• North and southbound I-35 right lanes closed from William Cannon Drive to Slaughter Lane. The Slaughter Lane entrance and exit ramps will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Jan. 5 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Boggy Creek Drive
  • Wednesday, Jan. 8 through Thursday, Jan. 9 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Posey Road bridge closed at I-35
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 exit #199 for Posey Road and exit #200 for Centerpoint Road are closed
  • Until further notice

I-35 MAINTENANCE CLOSURES

• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Leander Road to Williams Drive
  • Thursday, Jan. 9 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Westinghouse Road to Leander Road
  • Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from University Boulevard to Westinghouse Road
  • Tuesday, Jan. 7 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from RM 967 to Niederwald exit ramp
  • Thursday, Jan. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from RM 1626 to RM 967
  • Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed at RM 1626
  • Tuesday, Jan. 7 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from RM 150 to RM 1626
  • Monday, Jan. 6 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed between Yarrington Road and Blanco River
  • Monday, Jan. 6 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed at FM 1327. The FM 1327 exit #223 will also be closed.
