Interstate 35 Lane Closures For July 13-19, 2019

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its latest weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures, yielding a helpful guide for drivers wishing to avoid potential traffic snarls.

This week's list covers the period from July 13-19.

EXPECT CLOSURES AND HEAVY DELAYS ON I-35 BETWEEN RUNDBERG LANE TO U.S. 290 EAST

From Friday, July 12 at 9 p.m. through Monday, July 15 at 5 a.m., drivers on I-35 will see a major traffic shift and lane reduction from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East in both directions of the I-35 main lanes.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• North and southbound I-35 frontage roads reduced to one lane from FM 972 to Bud Stockton Loop
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane from Ronald Reagan Boulevard to Lakeway Drive
  • Sunday, July 14 through Thursday, July 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly from Hesters Crossing to US 79
  • Sunday, July 14 through Thursday, July 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Hesters Crossing to RM 620. The RM 620 exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, July 14 through Thursday, July 18 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• I-35 reduced to two lanes in both directions from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East. The northbound US 183 (#240) and Rundberg Lane (#241) exits and southbound Rundberg Lane entrance will also be closed.

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive

• South to northbound I-35 U-turn closed at US 183

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily at Oltorf Street
  • Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily at Oltorf Street
  • Monday, July 15 through Wednesday, July 17 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Oltorf Street. The Oltorf Street exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, July 16 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Woodward Street to Oltorf Street. The Oltorf Street exit and entrance ramps will also be closed.
  • Wednesday, July 17 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Eastbound Oltorf Street right lane closed at I-35

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane

• Northbound I-35 exit ramps at Posey Road (#199) and Centerpoint Road (#200) are closed. The southbound I-35 entrance ramp south of Posey Road is also closed.

• Northbound I-35 right lane closed from Main Street in Buda to the Travis County line
  • Sunday, July 14 from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed from SH 45 SE and Manchaca Springs Road
