Interstate 35 Lane Closures For June 22-28, 2019

AUSTIN, TX —The Texas Department of Transportation issued its latest list of lane closures along Interstate 35 as crews work on improvements. Drivers can consult this list to determine if alternative routes are necessary to reach their destinations in avoiding potential congestion.

The latest list covers the period between June 22 and June 28.

I-35 AT CR 305

• Southbound I-35 closures between Hill Road and FM 487. Ramps will also be closed as needed.
  • Thursday, June 27 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• North and southbound I-35 frontage roads reduced to one lane from FM 972 to Bud Stockton Loop
  • Until further notice

I-35 AT RONALD REAGAN BOULEVARD

• Southbound I-35 reduced to one nightly between Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Lakeway Drive
  • Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 28 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT FM 3406

• North and southbound I-35 reduced to one lane at FM 3406
  • Sunday, June 23 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 frontage road closures nightly at FM 3406
  • Sunday, June 23 through Thursday, June 27 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one right lane nightly between Dell Way and McNeil Road. The south to northbound I-35 U-turn at Hesters Crossing and the entrance ramp will also be closed.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• St. Johns Avenue bridge closed at I-35
  • Through late summer 2019
• South to northbound U-turn closed at US 183

• North and southbound I-35 reduced to two lanes from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East. Expect delays.
  • Friday, June 28 at 9 p.m. through Monday, July 1 until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 rolling closures at Rundberg Lane
  • Sunday, June 23 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between US 290 East and Hermitage Drive
  • Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 28 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between Hermitage Drive and Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 28 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Northbound I-35 closed at Oltorf Street
  • Tuesday, June 25 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 closed between Woodland Avenue and Oltorf Street
  • Monday, June 24 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane between William Cannon Drive and Foremost Drive
  • Through July 2019
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Nelms Drive and Stassney Lane
  • Sunday, June 23 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Stassney Lane
  • Monday, June 24 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between Little Texas Lane and William Cannon Drive
  • Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between William Cannon Drive and Boggy Creek Drive

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly between William Cannon Drive and Boggy Creek Drive

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Posey Road closed at I-35

• Northbound I-35 exit #199 for Posey Road and exit #200 for Centerpoint Road are closed. The southbound I-35 entrance ramp south of Posey Road is also closed.

MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

• Northbound I-35 upper deck will be closed nightly between 6th Street and 38th Street
  • Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 from 10 p.m. until 10 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily between Gattis School Road and McNeil Road
  • Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly between Rubio Avenue and RM 620
  • Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 frontage road closures nightly between Bell County and Travis County
  • Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 28 from 9 p.m until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane between 6th Street and Airport Boulevard. The upper level will be reduced to one lane. The lower level and entrance ramps will also be closed between 12th Street and 38th Street.
