Interstate 35 Lane Closures For July 6-12, 2019

AUSTIN, TX — Texas Department of Transportation officials released their weekly list of lane closures along Interstate 35, yielding a handy primer for drivers in avoiding potential spots for congestion. The latest list covers the period between July 6-12.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• North and southbound I-35 frontage roads reduced to one lane from FM 972 to Bud Stockton Loop
  • Until further notice

I-35 AT FM 3406

• North and southbound I-35 frontage roads reduced to one lane nightly at FM 3406
  • Sunday, July 7 through Wednesday, July 10 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane nightly between Hesters Crossing and US 79
  • Sunday, July 7 through Friday, July 12 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between Hesters Crossing and RM 620. The RM 620 exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, July 7 through Friday, July 12 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 reduced to two lanes nightly between US 290 East and St. Johns Avenue
  • Sunday, July 7 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. and Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to two lanes nightly between US 183 and St. Johns Avenue
  • Sunday, July 7 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. and Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right auxiliary lane closed nightly between US 183 and St. Johns Avenue
  • Sunday, July 7 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. and Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at St. Johns Avenue
  • Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• St. Johns Avenue bridge closed at I-35
  • Through late summer 2019

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Southbound I-35 closed between Woodland Avenue and Oltorf Street. The ramps between Riverside Drive and Woodward Street will also be closed. Traffic will detour to the frontage road at the Woodland Avenue exit ramp (#232B).

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily at Oltorf Street
  • Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane daily between William Cannon Drive and Boggy Creek Drive
  • Monday, July 8 through Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closures nightly at Stassney Lane
  • Monday, July 8 through Friday, July 12 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane between William Cannon Drive and Stassney Lane
  • Through early August 2019
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane between William Cannon Drive and Foremost Drive
  • Through July 2019

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Northbound I-35 exit ramps at Posey Road (#199) and Centerpoint Road (#200) are closed. The southbound I-35 entrance ramp south of Posey Road is also closed.

• Southbound I-35 closures nightly between Bell County and FM 487
