Interstate 35 Lane Closures List For Jan. 12-18, 2019

AUSTIN, TEXAS — The methodical driver often will check to make sure there are no impediments to the work commute — paving work or road enhancement, for instance — ahead of taking the wheel. Taking those few moments of time to check for such congestion-inducing highway work can shield one from the inevitable frustration of traffic logjams.

Enter the Texas Department of Transportation, which weekly provides a list of lane closures in giving motorists a heads-up prior to their drive. The latest list of planned closures along the key artery covers the dates between Jan. 12-18, 2019.

I-35 AT COUNTY ROAD 305

• I-35 frontage road left lane closed in both directions at County Road 305
  • Through Spring 2019

I-35 AT FM 3406

• I-35 reduced to one lane in both directions at FM 3406
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 through Tuesday, Jan. 15
• Various I-35 frontage road closures in both directions at FM 3406
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 through Thursday, Jan. 17
• Northbound I-35 U-turn closed at FM 3406

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 entrance ramp closed at Hesters Crossing
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between Gattis School Rd and RM 620
  • From 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 through Friday, Jan. 18
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between US 79 and RM 620
