Interstate 35 Lane Closures For March 2-8, 2019

AUSTIN, TEXAS — There is value in the Texas Department of Transportation's weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures. It gives motorists a heads up on potential congestion, helping them find alternative routes to ensure smoother travel in reaching their destinations. Lanes are intermittently closed along the key artery for road work or repaving.

And so, here is the TxDot list of I-35 lane closures for March 2-8, 2019:

I-35 AT COUNTY ROAD 305

• I-35 frontage road left lane closed in both directions at County Road 305
  • Through spring 2019

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• St. Johns Avenue reduced to one lane in each direction at I-35
  • Until further notice
• Fenelon Drive closed east of I-35. Use Rutherford Lane or Hermitage Drive
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 through Friday, March 1
• St. Johns Avenue reduced to one lane in both directions at I-35
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between Barwood Park and Powell Lane
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, March 3 through Thursday, March 7
• I-35 frontage road left lane closed in both directions between US 290 E and US 183
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, March 3 through Thursday, March 7
• Southbound I-35 left two lanes closed between US 183 and St. Johns Avenue
  • From 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday, March 3 through Thursday, March 7
• Fenelon Drive closed at I-35. Use Rutherford Lane or Hermitage Drive
  • Until Saturday, March 2

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Various southbound I-35 frontage road closures between St. Edwards Drive and Woodward Street
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 8

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Westbound William Cannon Drive right turn lane closed at I-35
  • Until March 1, weather permitting
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed between William Cannon Drive and Boggy Creek Drive
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 8
• Northbound I-35 frontage road will be reduced to one lane in both directions at Nelms Drive
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, March 4 through Friday, March 8
• I-35 exits to westbound SH 71 closed. Use other ramps.
  • From 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 6 through Thursday, March 7

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• I-35 frontage road right lane closed in both directions between Centerpoint Road and the Comal County line
  • From 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday, March 5

I-35 MAINTENANCE CLOSURES

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Braker Lane
  • From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, March 4 through Wednesday, March 6
