Interstate 35 Lane Closures May 30-June 5, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation releases a list of lane closures along Interstate 35 each week, yielding a helpful traveling guide for savvy drivers seeking to avoid potential traffic congestion. Motorists have come to rely on this guide to check ahead of planned travel which areas might pose navigational challenges.

Transportation officials have done it again, releasing the latest list of planned lane closures along the key artery for the period between May 30-June 5. Planned lane closures include:

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit ramp
  • Through early 2021

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Eastbound Parmer Lane bridge right lane closed at I-35
  • Through mid-2020

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through mid-2020
• Eastbound and westbound Rutherford Lane closed continuously at the I-35 frontage road
  • Through mid-July
• Southbound US 183 Cameron Road exit closed
  • Through June 2020
• Southbound US 183 closed from I-35 to the Cameron Road entrance ramp
  • Sunday, May 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right two lanes closed at US 183. The US 183 exit ramp (#240) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, May 31 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 exit for I-35/Lamar Boulevard closed
  • Monday, June 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from I-35 to Carver Avenue
  • Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 St. Johns Avenue entrance ramp closed
  • Monday, June 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 flyover closed at I-35
  • Monday, June 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 Rundberg Lane entrance ramp closed
  • Monday, June 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• South to north I-35 U-turn at US 183 closed
  • Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
• North to south I-35 U-turn closed nightly at Rundberg Lane
  • Wednesday, June 3 through Thursday, June 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• South to north I-35 U-turn closed nightly at Rundberg Lane
  • Wednesday, June 3 through Thursday, June 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 closed from I-35 to the Cameron Road entrance ramp
  • Wednesday, June 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Northbound I-35 flyover closed nightly at SH 71
  • Tuesday, June 2 through Wednesday, June 3 from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Woodward Street to Woodland Avenue. The Oltorf Street exit ramp (#232A), the Woodward Street entrance ramp and the Woodland Avenue exit ramp (#232B) will also be closed.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Teri Road

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly at William Cannon Drive
  • Sunday, May 31 through Thursday, June 4 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Teri Road
  • Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Boggy Creek Drive to William Cannon Drive
  • Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Eastbound and westbound William Cannon Drive right lane closed daily
