Interstate 35 Lane Closures For May 4-10, 2019

AUSTIN, TX — As it does each week, the Texas Department of Transportation has compiled its list of lane closures along Interstate 35, yielding a helpful navigation guide for motorists. In consulting the list, drivers can know ahead of time where potential congestion might occur as a result of scheduled work and choose to find alternate routes to reach their destinations.

The latest list of I-35 lane closures is for May 4-10.

I-35 FROM FROM BUD STOCKTON LOOP TO FM 972

• The I-35 frontage roads will permanently convert to one-way between Bud Stockton Loop and FM 972 in Williamson County. The frontage roads will also be reduced to one lane for several months.
  • The northbound I-35 frontage road will be converted to one-way on Wednesday, May 8 at 8 a.m., and the southbound I-35 frontage road will be converted Thursday, May 9 at 8 a.m.

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly between SH 45 North and the RM 620 exit ramp
  • Sunday, May 5 to Tuesday, May 7 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 entrance ramp closed at Hesters Crossing
  • Monday, May 6 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• The south to northbound I-35 frontage road U-turn closed at US 183
  • Through June 2019
• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane between La Posada Drive and St. Johns Avenue
  • Sunday, May 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between US 183 and Rundberg Lane
  • Sunday, May 5 through Thursday, May 9 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly between US 183 and US 290 East
  • Sunday, May 5 through Thursday, May 9 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly between US 290 East to US 183
  • Sunday, May 5 through Thursday, May 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Hermitage Drive closed nightly at I-35
  • Sunday, May 5 through Saturday, May 11 from 9 p.m. until 5 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Wonsley Drive to US 183
  • Sunday, May 5 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Barwood Park to US 183
  • Sunday, May 5 through Friday, May 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Look for nightly southbound I-35 frontage road closures between Woodland Avenue and Oltorf Street
  • Monday, May 6 through Saturday, May 11 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right-turn lane closed daily at William Cannon Drive
  • Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane between William Cannon Drive and Foremost Drive
  • Through May 2019

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Northbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly between Posey Road and Centerpoint Road. Exit #200 will also be closed.
  • Sunday, May 5 through Friday, May 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly between Gregsons Bend and Posey Road. Exit #199 will also be closed.
  • Sunday, May 5 through Friday, May 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Expect north and southbound I-35 frontage road closures nightly between Posey Road and York Creek Road. Exit #199 will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, May 7 through Friday, May 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
