Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Oct. 17-23, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures, yielding a helpful driving guide for savvy drivers. Methodical motorists consult the guide before travel, knowing ahead of time areas of potential congestion to avoid.

The latest list of lane closures covers the period between Oct. 17-23.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly at CR 143
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 through Monday, Oct. 19 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 through Monday, Oct. 19 from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Wednesday, Oct. 21 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 8:30 p.m. until 5.a.m.

I-35 AT WILLIAMS DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Williams Drive. The Williams Drive exit (#261) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed at Williams Drive. The Williams Drive entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Williams Drive
  • Monday, Oct. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Airport Road
  • Monday, Oct. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT NORTHWEST BOULEVARD

• Northbound I-35 rolling closures from Williams Drive to Northwest Boulevard. The Williams Drive entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Oct. 19 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 closed from Lakeway Drive to Williams Drive
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road rolling closure from Lakeway Drive to Williams Drive. The Williams Drive exit (#262) will also be closed.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Northbound Lamar Boulevard right-turn lane closed daily at Parmer Lane
  • Saturday, Oct. 16 through Friday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right-turn lane closed nightly at Parmer Lane
  • Monday, Oct. 19 through Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Eastbound and westbound Parmer Lane left lane closed nightly from the southbound I-35 frontage road to Lamar Boulevard
  • Monday, Oct. 19 through Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Eastbound and westbound Parmer Lane left lane closed from the northbound I-35 frontage road to McCallen Pass
  • Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed from Parmer Lane to Yager Lane
  • Thursday, Oct. 22 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through December 2020
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly at Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from US 290 East to Rundberg Lane
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly at US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 through Friday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 through Thursday, Oct. 22 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 Rundberg Lane exit (#241) closed
  • Monday, Oct. 19 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 closed nightly from Slaughter Lane to SH 71/US 290. Multiple entrance ramps will be closed as needed.
  • Friday, Oct. 16 through Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed at Slaughter Lane. The Slaughter Lane exit will also be closed.
  • Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed at William Cannon Drive. The William Cannon Drive exit (#228) will also be closed.
  • Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
• Eastbound Stassney Lane right-turn lane closed daily at the southbound I-35 frontage road
  • Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Slaughter Lane to Stassney Lane. Multiple entrance ramps will be closed as needed.
  • Sunday, Oct. 18 from 6 p.m. until 5 a.m.

• Northbound and southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Centerpoint Road to York Creek Road

  • Through November 2020
• Northbound I-35 flyover closed at SH 71
  • Monday, Oct. 19 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed at Oltorf Street. The Woodward Street entrance ramp will also be closed.
