Interstate 35 Lane Closures Scheduled Feb. 1-7, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its latest list of lane closures along Interstate 35 for the coming days. This is a helpful guide, particularly for savvy motorists diligently plotting out their trips with an aim of avoiding potential traffic congestion.

The latest weekly list covers the period between Feb. 1-7. Following are the main lanes slated for closure for that time period:

I-35 FROM CORN HILL
(BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• Southbound I-35 entrance ramp permanently closed at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Bud Stockton Loop to Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Sunday, Feb. 9 through Monday, Feb. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT RONALD REAGAN BOULEVARD

• Northbound I-35 left two lanes closed nightly at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Sunday, Feb. 2 through Thursday, Feb. 13 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to RM 1431
  • Through late 2020
• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Old Settlers Boulevard to University Boulevard
  • Until further notice

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Camino La Costa to St. Johns Avenue
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through mid-2020
• East and westbound I-35 closed at Hermitage Drive
  • Until further notice
• East and westbound US 183 closed at Norwood Park Boulevard
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Friday, Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Huntland Drive to St. Johns Avenue
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from St. Johns Avenue exit ramp (#240) to Rundberg lane entrance ramp. The St. Johns Avenue exit ramp (#240) will also be closed.
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Thursday, Feb. 6 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly from Barwood Park to US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Feb. 2 through Thursday, Feb. 6 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 left two lanes closed nightly from St. Johns Avenue to Rutherford Lane
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Thursday, Feb. 6 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Carver Avenue to Cameron Road
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from US 183 to Norwood Park Boulevard. The Rundberg Lane exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Thursday, Feb. 6 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly from US 290 East to St. Johns Avenue. The US 290 East entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Thursday, Feb. 6 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• East and westbound I-35 reduced to one lane at St. Johns Avenue
  • Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Woodward Street to Oltorf Street
  • Until further notice

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Williamson Creek Drive to Stassney Lane
  • Thursday, Jan. 30 through Saturday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Eastbound Stassney Lane right lane closed at I-35
  • Saturday, Feb. 1 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
• Westbound Stassney Lane right lane closed daily at I-35
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• East and westbound Stassney Lane reduced to one lane daily at I-35
  • Monday, Feb. 3 through Friday, Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Posey Road bridge closed at I-35
  • Until further notice
• Northbound I-35 exit #199 for Posey Road and exit #200 for Centerpoint Road are closed
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed at Industrial Fork Drive. Watch for flaggers. The York Creek exit ramp will also be closed. Detour at Posey Road or Watson Lane exit.
