Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Sept. 21-27, 2019

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation released its weekly list of planned lane closures along Interstate 35 — a handy primer for motorists in knowing ahead of time which spots along the highway might be congested during road work.

This week's list covers the period between Sept. 21-27:

I-35 AT CR 305

• North and southbound I-35 closed from Hill Road to FM 487. The CR 305 entrance ramps will also be closed.
  • Friday, Sept. 27 from 8 p.m. until 9 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Hill Road to FM 487
  • Saturday, Sept. 28 from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 closed from Hill Road to FM 487. The CR 305 entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Saturday, Sept. 28 from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• North and southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from FM 972 to Bud Stockton Loop
  • Until further notice

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from FM 3406 (Old Settlers Boulevard) to RM 1431 (University Boulevard)
  • Through late 2020

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Parmer Lane
  • Monday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Parmer Lane
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Yager Lane
  • Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from US 290 East to St. Johns Avenue. The US 290 East entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Sept. 22 through Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 left two lanes closed nightly from Powell Lane to US 183
  • Sunday, Sept. 22 through Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• North and southbound I-35 frontage road closed at US 183
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to two lanes from Barwood Park to St. Johns Avenue. The entrance ramp at US 183 will also be closed.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 closed from Barwood Park to St. Johns Avenue
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 12 p.m. until 2 a.m.
• South to northbound U-turn closed at US 183
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to two lanes nightly from US 290 East to St. Johns Avenue
  • Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 closed from US 290 East to St. Johns Avenue
  • Thursday, Sept. 26 from 12 p.m. until 2 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Norwood Park Boulevard to I-35
  • Sunday, Sept. 22 through Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Westbound Wonsley Drive closed nightly at I-35

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed at Oltorf Street
  • Monday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Woodward Street
  • Monday, Sept. 23 through Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from St. Edwards Drive to Woodward Street
  • Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Mariposa Drive to Oltorf Street
  • Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly at Oltorf Street. The Oltorf Street exit ramp will also be closed.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly from St. Edwards Drive to Woodward Street
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from Woodward Street to Oltorf Street. The Woodward Street entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from SH 71 to Woodward Street
  • Thursday, Sept. 26 through Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 left lane closed nightly at Stassney Lane
  • Sunday, Sept. 22 through Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Stassney Lane to Williamson Creek Drive
  • Monday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Stassney Lane
  • Monday, Sept. 23 through Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Colonial Park Boulevard to Battle Bend Boulevard
  • Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Northbound I-35 exit ramps at Posey Road (#199) and Centerpoint Road (#200) are closed. The southbound I-35 entrance ramp south of Posey Road is also closed.

• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Bell County to SH 195 for paving. Ramps will also be closed as needed.

• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane from SE Inner Loop to Westinghouse Road for milling
  • Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Hesters Crossing Road to Rubio Avenue
  • Monday, Sept. 23 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 reduced to two lanes from 51st Street to St. Johns Avenue
  • Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Yarrington Road exit (#210) to the Yarrington Road overpass
