Interstate 35 Lanes Closures List Feb. 29-March 6, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its latest list of Interstate 35 lane closures, yielding a helpful primer for savvy motorists. Why? Because in consulting the guide, drivers are alerted ahead of time to potential traffic congestion — prompting them to plot out alternative routes to reach their destinations.

The latest list is for the period between Feb. 29 to March 6.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• Southbound I-35 entrance ramp permanently closed at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Until further notice

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to RM 1431
  • Through late 2020

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Westbound Parmer Lane bridge right lane closed at I-35
  • Through May 2020

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Camino La Costa to St. Johns Avenue
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through mid-2020
• Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from Clock Tower Drive to I-35
  • Sunday, March 1 through Thursday, March 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from US 183 to Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane exit ramp (#241) will also be closed.
  • Sunday, March 1 through Thursday, March 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from US 183 exit ramp (#240) to Wonsley Drive. The US 183 exit ramp (#240) and the Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.

  • Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 6 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 6 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Monday, March 2 through Thursday, March 5 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 US 290 E exit ramp (#238B) closed
  • Tuesday, March 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road closed from I-35 to Carver Avenue

• Southbound I-35 right lane closed from Oltorf Street to Woodward Street

• Eastbound and westbound Stassney Lane left lane closed at the I-35 frontage road

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Little Texas Lane

• Northbound I-35 Slaughter Lane entrance ramp closed
