Interstate 35 Lanes Closures Sept. 5-11, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has released its weekly list of Interstate 35 lane closures, yielding a helpful driving primer for savvy drivers. By checking the list ahead of travel, drivers are able to avoid potential areas of traffic congestion.

The latest list is for Sept. 5-11.

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly at Ronald Reagan Boulevard
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Wonsley Drive to US 183
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Wonsley Drive to US 183. The US 183 exit (#240) will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right two lanes closed nightly from Powell Lane to US 183. The Rundberg Lane entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from I-35 to Providence Avenue
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Powell Lane to US 183.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Huntland Drive to US 290 East
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from US 183 to Rundberg Lane. The Rundberg Lane exit (#241) will also be closed.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Friday, Sept. 11 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound US 183 frontage road closed nightly from Clock Tower Drive to I-35. The I-35/Lamar Boulevard exit will also be closed.
  • Thursday, Sept. 10 through Saturday, Sept. 12 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from Corral Lane to Slaughter Lane
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Stassney Lane to Little Texas Lane
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 left lane closed daily at Slaughter Lane
  • Tuesday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane
  • Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane from William Cannon Drive to Corral Lane
  • Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 left lane closed at Slaughter Lane
  • Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from Stassney Lane to Slaughter Lane. Multiple ramps will also be closed.
  • Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Stassney Lane

• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from Williams Drive to NE Inner Loop
  • Monday, Sept. 7 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane from NE Inner Loop to Williams Drive
  • Monday, Sept. 7 through Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 left lane closed from the Manor Road to 41st Street. The 38th 1/2 Street exit (#236B) will also be closed.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from Concordia Avenue to Luther Lane
