Interstate 35 Road Closures For April 27-May 3, 2019

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has issued its weekly list of road closures along Interstate 35, yielding a handy motorists' guide alerting ahead of time areas to avoid given potential congestion.

This week's list covers planned closures for road work scheduled from April 27 to May 3. So, away we go....

I-35 AT CR 305

• I-35 frontage road left lane closed in both directions at CR 305
  • Through April 2019
• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly at CR 305 bridge
  • Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from entrance ramp 277 to the CR 305 bridge
  • Sunday, April 28 and Monday, April 29 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT FM 3406

• North and southbound I-35 rolling closures between FM 3406 and RM 1431
  • Sunday, April 28 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 right lane closed between SH 45 North and RM 620 exit
  • Wednesday, May 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed at Hesters Crossing. The entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Thursday, May 2 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Powell Lane closed at I-35
  • Through April 2019
• St. Johns Avenue reduced to one lane in both directions across I-35
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 U-turn closed at US 290 East
  • Through May 2019
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from US 290 East to US 183
  • Sunday, April 28 through Friday, May 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound US 183 reduced to one lane nightly at the I-35 frontage road
  • Sunday, April 28 through Thursday, May 2 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from La Posada Drive to St. Johns Avenue
  • Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Wonsley Drive to US 183
  • Wednesday, May 1 through Friday, May 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 left lane closed nightly from Clock Tower Drive to I-35
  • Wednesday, May 1 through Friday, May 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Barwood Park to US 183
  • Sunday, April 28 through Friday, May 3 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT OLTORF STREET

• Southbound I-35 right shoulder closed nightly from Woodland Avenue to Oltorf Street. Watch for flaggers.
  • Starting Monday, April 29 through Saturday, May 4 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Northbound I-35 frontage road rolling closures daily from William Cannon Drive exit ramp (228) to Boggy Creek Drive
  • Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 right turn lane closed daily at William Cannon Drive
  • Monday, May 29 through Friday, May 3 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Westbound William Cannon Drive right lane and right turn lane closed nightly at the northbound I-35 frontage road
  • Sunday, April 28 through Thursday, May 2 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed nightly at William Cannon Drive
