Interstate 35 Road Closures For Aug. 10-16, 2019

AUSTIN, TX — Texas Department of Transportation officials have released their latest list of Interstate 35 road closures, providing a helpful traveling guide for the motoring public in the process. This list enables drivers to know in advance where there might be construction-fueled congestion, enabling them plot out alternate routes for more seamless travel.

But back to I-35. Here's the latest list of road closures along the key artery for the period between Aug. 10 and Aug. 16:

I-35 FROM CORN HILL (BUD STOCKTON LOOP) TO FM 972

• North and southbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from FM 972 to Bud Stockton Loop
  • Until further notice
• Southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Bell County to CR 143
  • Monday, Aug. 12 through Thursday, Aug. 15 from 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to RM 1431
  • Through late 2020

I-35 FROM US 79 TO SH 45 NORTH (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane from SH 45 North to US 79. The RM 620 exit will also be closed.
  • Sunday, Aug. 11 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Various northbound I-35 frontage road closures between Hesters Crossing and RM 620
  • Monday, Aug. 12 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound McNeil Drive closed at I-35
  • Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Parmer Lane exit (#246) to Braker Lane exit (#243)
  • Monday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 16 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• North and southbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from US 290 East to US 183
  • Sunday, Aug. 11 through Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 13 through Friday, Aug. 16 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed between US 290 East to St. Johns Avenue
  • Sunday, Aug. 11 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• North and southbound I-35 frontage road closures daily at St. Johns Avenue
  • Monday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• North and southbound I-35 frontage road closures daily from US 290 East to US 183
  • Monday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Huntland Drive to US 290 East

• Northbound I-35 frontage road closures daily from SH 71 to Woodward Street
  • Monday, Aug. 12 through Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Woodland Avenue to Oltorf Street
  • Monday, Aug. 12 through Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from St. Edwards Drive to Woodward Street

• Northbound I-35 frontage road closures daily from Woodward Street to Oltorf Street

• Southbound I-35 right lane and auxiliary lane closed nightly from Oltorf Street to Woodward Street. The Oltorf Street entrance ramp will also be closed.

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from SH 71 to Woodward Street
  • Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 15 through Friday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• North and southbound Oltorf Street closed across I-35

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Southbound I-35 frontage road right turn lane closed at Stassney Lane
  • Saturday, Aug. 10 from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m.
  • Sunday Aug. 11 through Thursday, Aug. 15 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed daily at Stassney Lane
