Armed Kidnapping Near UT-Austin Campus Reported
A woman was forced into a car at gunpoint at the corner of 24th and San Antonio streets on Wednesday night, police said.

AUSTIN, TX — Police on Wednesday night responded to what they termed a kidnapping near the University of Texas at West Campus, saying a woman was forced into a car at gunpoint.
The incident occurred at around 7:45 p.m. in the area where 24th and San Antonio streets intersect, where a woman reportedly was forced into a car at gunpoint. UT-Austin police they were notified of the incident by the Austin Police Department at 8:05 p.m.
The last known direction of travel for the car was towards Guadalupe Street, police said. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man wearing a red hoodie and his vehicle is a black sedan, police said. A description of the victim was not provided.
