La Crosse Avenue @ MoPac To Close Starting March 29
Drivers on La Crosse Avenue will not be able to travel across the MoPac main lanes during construction.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — The Texas Department of Transportation will close La Crosse Avenue at the MoPac intersection, beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, March 29, for construction of a new bridge over the MoPac main lanes, officials said.
Drivers on La Crosse Avenue will not be able to travel across the MoPac main lanes during this time, state transportation officials said.
Prior to the La Crosse Avenue closure, crews will completely close South Bay Lane at 6 p.m. on Thursday night to set up a detour for drivers wishing to cross over MoPac on La Crosse. The roadway will reopen at 6 a.m. Friday morning, weather permitting.

To help with traffic flow, all traffic signals at La Crosse will be removed beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, April 1. Temporary signals will be added to the eastbound La Crosse Avenue and southbound MoPac intersection to allow for a protected right turn from eastbound La Crosse Avenue (see detour map above).
Detour signs will be posted and police will be on-sight for at least one week to help direct traffic. The closure is expected to last through the summer, weather permitting.
