Lick Honest Ice Creams Celebrates 8th Birthday In Delicious Way

AUSTIN, TX — Yes, it's true we all scream for ice cream. But fans of Lick Honest Ice Creams have been expressing especially exuberant exhortations of approval since the ice cream parlor launched specially made creations to celebrate its 8th anniversary.

To that end, Lick Honest has partnered with like-minded, Austin-based chefs and bakers to create three unique flavors — available over the next three months — with a portion of proceeds benefiting Austin Food & Wine Alliance.

This mouth-watering birthday series kicked off with an Apple Fritter & Bay Leaf ice cream ideated by Jesse Griffiths of Dai Due, Austin's locally focused restaurant and butcher shop on Oct. 3 that's available through Wednesday, Oct. 9. Guests can enjoy the limited time fall-flavor featuring fluffy apple fritters made by Dai Due's pastry team with first-of-the-season Texas apples folded into Lick's ice cream infused with bay leaves from Chef Griffiths’ backyard, officials described in jaw-dropping detail. The ice cream will also be on Dai Due’s dessert menu throughout the week, officials added.

The birthday series will continue with one-of-a-kind flavors from Stephanie McClenny of Confituras in November and Abby Love of Abby Jane in December. Flavor details and availability for the November and December partnerships will be announced at a later date.
