Lotto Texas Winning Numbers For Dec. 23, 2017: $5.25M Prize

Spoiler alert: Nobody matched the numbers for Saturday's lottery, meaning the next drawing on Wednesday, Dec. 23, will be for $5.5 million.

AUSTIN, TX — The winning Lotto Texas number for Dec. 23, 2017, are: 8-22-23-29-34-36. The prize for this drawing was valued at $5.25 million or a cash value option of $3.62 million.

But nobody drew the winning number ion Saturday, Dec. 23. That means the next drawing on Wednesday, Dec. 27, will be for a $5.5 million jackpot. The estimated cash payout on that would be $3.82 million.

Despite the fact nobody matched all six numbers for the big prize, you might still want to check your ticket. The Texas Lottery Commission awards smaller prizes for just a few matched numbers. For example, on Saturday, 14 players in Texas matched five of the six digits for a $1,850 prize. Another 750 winning tickets matched four of six of the drawn numbers, for a prize of $51,

And many, many (15,702 winning tickets to be exact) matched three of six numbers for a $3 prize. Another 3,302 players with the Extra! option won $13 for matching three our of the six numbers.

AUSTIN, TX — The winning numbers for Lotto Texas on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, are: 6-10-11-22-30-45.

But here's the thing: Nobody in Texas matched all six numbers for the prize that would've been valued at $5 million. What this means is that the next drawing on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, will be for $5.25 million. The cash value option on that (as opposed to annuities which, to our knowledge, no winner has ever opted to take) will be an estimated $3.62 million.

Even though you don't hold the winning ticket, you might want to check that ticket as the Texas Lottery Commission awards prizes for as few as two matched digits. Take tonight, for example. According to lottery officials, 17 people in Texas matched five out of six numbers to win $1,263 — another two winning $11,263 with the Extra! option.
