Magen Fieramusca To Appear In Court In Austin Feb. 3
Fieramusca is charged in connection to the killing of Austin mom, Heidi Broussard, and the kidnapping of her baby.

AUSTIN, TX - A Houston woman arrested in connection to the killing of her friend, 33-year-old Heidi Broussard of Austin, and kidnapping her newborn daughter is scheduled to appear inside a district courtroom in Austin on Feb. 3.
Magen Fieramusca, 33, is currently behind bars at the Travis County Correctional Complex and faces two charges of kidnapping and one charge of tampering with a human corpse, KTRK-TVreports. Her bond has been set at $600,000.
According to KVUE-TV, a formality hearing in Travis County is scheduled to take place in less than two months at 9 a.m. at the 460th District Court before Hon. Geoffrey Puryear. Her first court appearance was originally scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 2. However, it was pushed back at the request of her attorney, the station reports.

Jackie Wood, Fieramusca's attorney, recently released the following statement to the TV station.
"As with every American accused of a crime, unless the state can prove these allegations beyond any reasonable doubt, Ms. Fieramusca is innocent."

Broussard and her baby were first reported missing on Dec. 12 by the Austin Police Department. She was initially last seen dropping off a child at Cowan Elementary School, which is located at 2817 Kentish Dr., around 7:30 a.m.
Eight days later, Broussard was found dead in the trunk of a car near Houston after a week of searching for her and her weeks-old daughter, KXAN-TV reports. A car registered to Fieramusca was also parked at the home where the child was found.

The child was found alive and has since been reunited with her father.
Multiple news outlets report that Fieramusca and Broussard were close friends, having met when they were children at a church camp.
