Man Arrested After Entering Austin EMS Station

According to a report, Johnny Bermea, 51, had made himself at home by relaxing on a recliner while watching TV with cold drinks at hand.

AUSTIN, TX — An Austin man is accused of breaking into a downtown ambulance station where he was found watching television while sitting on a recliner on Monday, according to a published report.

Claiming he worked at the Austin EMS station at Red River and 15th street, Johnny Bermea, 51, was charged with burglary after a medic reported signs of a break-in, CBS Austin reported by referencing court documents.

The report indicates a responding officer reported coming across Bermea relaxing on a recliner while watching TV, with cold drinks raided from the refrigerator close at hand.
