Man Dead In East Austin Shooting
The incident occurred at the Springdale Estates apartments complex along Springdale Road just after 10 p.m.
AUSTIN, TX — Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a Thursday night shooting that left a man dead.
The incident occurred in East Austin at the Springdale Estates apartments complex along Springdale Road just after 10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers the shooting victim not breathing while on the ground, Officer Bino Cadenas told reporters. Despite medics' life-saving efforts, the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect fled, and police continue to search for the man. Police stressed the incident appeared to be isolated, and not threat to the public exists. Police have interviewed witnesses as part of their investigation, Cadenas said, but information still is needed.
