Missing Woman, Infant Sought By Austin Police

The woman was last seen at Cowan Elementary School, 2817 Kentish Dr., on Thursday, Dec. 12, officials said.

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking help from the public in locating a missing woman and her daughter, officials said Friday.

Heidi Broussard, 33, was reported missing along with her daughter, 2-week-old Margot Carey. The woman was last seen dropping off the child at Cowan Elementary School, 2817 Kentish Dr., on Thursday, Dec. 12, at around 7:30 a.m. The woman and child are believed to have returned to their home near West William Cannon and South First Street, but have not been seen or heard from since, police said in a press advisory.

The woman is described as being five feet, three inches in height and weighs 150 pounds. She has long dark hair with highlights. It was unknown what she was last seen wearing. The infant is seven pounds, seven ounces, and 22 inches long. The garments she wore when she was last seen also is unknown.

Police released photos of the woman and infant in the hopes someone might recognize them and alert police as to their whereabouts. Anyone who sees the two is urged to call 9-1-1.
