MoPac Traffic To Be Detoured This Weekend
Traffic on southbound MoPac will be detoured to Escarpment Boulevard starting Friday to accommodate work, transportation officials said.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Traffic on southbound MoPac will be detoured to Escarpment Boulevard starting Friday, transportation officials said.
Crews will be installing metal beam guard fences and removing barriers south of La Crosse Avenue Friday evening, Aug. 24, officials said. In order to perform this work safely and efficiently, southbound MoPac will be closed south of La Crosse Avenue beginning Friday at 10:30 p.m. and is expected to be open to motorists by Saturday at 8 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transporation.
Traffic will be detoured onto westbound La Crosse Avenue to Escarpment Boulevard. From there, drivers can head south on Escarpment to SH 45 where they can access FM 1826.
