Motorist Dies In Rollover While Evading Pflugerville Police
Moving violation along northbound FM 685 near East Pfennig Lane just before 1;40 a.m. sparks chase ending with driver's death.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A driver died in a Sunday rollover wreck while fleeing a traffic stop, Pflugerville police said.
The incident began when an officer attempted to make a traffic stop for a moving violation along northbound FM 685 near East Pfennig Lane just before 1;40 a.m., the Pflugerville Police Department detailed in a subsequent press advisory. The driver turned east on East Pflugerville Parkway in evading the officer at a high rate of speed.
The Honda then left the road near the 3500 block of East Pflugerville Parkway before rolling over. The unidentified motorist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Travis County Emergency Services District No. 2 also responded to the scene, according to the press release. An investigation into the matter continues, including a review by the police department's pursuit review board to determine if correct police protocol was utilized, according to the advisory.
