Music, Films And Gaming In Store For SXSW Day 7

In addition to the abundance of films and music, SXSW Gaming opens today with loads of mindblowing features for its mavens.

AUSTIN, TX — And on the seventh day, there will be more music. The Music is in full swing at SXSW, and the Film Festival is going strong. For lovers of virtual worlds, a special treat: SXSW Gaming starts today.

There will be a focus esports on Thursday (including today’s Featured Sessions with Nate Nanzer and Brendan Greene), and some killer tournaments, organizers said.

The Conference has some excellent programming in store with a Keynote Conversation between Linda Perry and Kerry Brown. Perry, a Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee, has written multi-platinum hits for Gwen Stefani, Pink, and Adele. Brown is an award-winning, multi-platinum producer, TV and film producer. The two will discuss the state and future of artist development.

The 8K Theater presented by NHK at the JW Marriott is not to be missed, showcasing the 8K+3D Sound Theater and seeking collaborations with creators and musicians to expand this new experience of image and sound far into the future. It's rather mindblowing.
