AUSTIN, TX — Texas, like the rest of America, loves its hamburgers. As American as apple pie and hot dogs, the food choice is a go-to in satisfying those hunger pangs. And on Tuesday, May 28, you can satisfy your craving during National Hamburger Day when special deals can be gotten.

Such observances invariably bring out the list makers. According to the Daily Meal, the best burger in the entire state can be found at Maple & Motor in Dallas. Reviewers fawn over the eatery's cheeseburger, describing it as "...a half-pound of finely ground American beef flat-grilled in its own juices. Dressed in traditional Texas fashion with mustard, lettuce, red onion and dill pickle. Served on a toasted, grill-shined bun." Priced at $8.25, it's one of America's best burgers for under 10 bucks, according to reviewers.
Offers.com researchers set out to gauge the nation's favorite burger joints, surveying 1,200 consumers to secure this important data. It turns out Five Guys is the favorite spot, with 28 percent of respondents ranking it tops. Following was In-N-Out and Wendy’s with 17 percent each, McDonald’s with 15 percent and Burger King with 14 percent.
