New Austin City Limits-Branded Concert Venue Kicks Off Next Month

The new space targets up-and-coming musical acts needing exposure to eventually graduating to main ACL Live venue.

AUSTIN, TX -- The famed Austin City Limits Live at downtown’s Moody Theater will be getting a sister concert series starting next month.

The Austin American-Statesman reports that business has been so brisk at the five-year-old venue, a second, ACL-branded venue will make its debut in the same space.

Dubbed 3TEN at ACL Live, it will be fit over a ground-floor space across from Austin City Hall on Block 21, which is the site of the W Austin Hotel and Residences, the newspaper reports.

“This showcase room is going to be the place every local band wants to play,” an officials said.

Up-and-coming musical acts are the focus of the new venue -- performers who don’t have a sizable enough fan base to fill a full-fledged ACL Live concert, but who could graduate to the main stage with the exposure 3TEN will provide, officials at the venue said.
