New Year's Holiday Hours For Austin-Area Grocery Stores
Patch has compiled a guide detailing holiday hours for the city's most popular grocers so you'll know before making a last-minute run.
AUSTIN, TX — Some of your favorite stores will shorten their hours of operation on New Year's Eve while others will be closed entirely for New Year's Day. So before you make a dash for that missing holiday ingredient for your big party, you might want to check out our guide.
Although not a definitive list, the following compilation details the holiday schedules for some of the Austin area's most visited stores. Here's what we found:
- ALDI: All ALDI stores are closed on New Year's Day, according to the grocer's website. The holiday hours for your local store can be found by using the ALDI store locator.
- Costco: Closed on New Year's Day. This means Costco business centers are closed, and delivery is not available. If your delivery should fall upon one of these days, it will be rescheduled for the next available delivery day, officials wrote on the company website. "Due to expected high-order volume following a holiday, delivery of your order may be delayed," store officials added. "In that case, you will be contacted by a Member Service Representative accordingly. When scheduling your delivery date, please be aware of any upcoming holidays that may delay your order."
- Fiesta Mart: On the corporate website, officials note stores will adjust hours or close for the holidays. You will need to contact the customer service department or your local store for specific holiday hours. Store officials observe New Year’s Day. There are two Fiesta Mart locations in Austin: Delwood Shopping Center, 3909 N. Interstate 35 Frontage Rd., (512) 406-3900 and at 5510 Interstate 35, (512) 373-7800.
- HEB: Open regular hours on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. This goes for curbside and home delivery as well, according to the grocer's website. Pharmacies will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on New Year's Day, store chain officials noted.
- Natural Grocers: Stores will close early on New Year's Eve and will close on New Year's Day, according to the company website. The store at 3901 Guadalupe St. can be reached at (512) 323-5100 while the site at The Shops at Arbor Walk, 10515 N. Mopac Expressway can be reached at (512) 231-9200.
