No. 16 West Virginia (7-1) at Texas (5-4). Football
Kickoff time, TV, point spread, tickets, parking, traffic and more — with planned plane flyover for Veterans Day!

AUSTIN, TX — An up-and-down season for Texas has a chance to continue its upward swing if the Longhorns can upset No. 16 West Virginia.
After falling to 3-4, Texas surprised No. 8 Baylor 35-34 and then followed that with a 45-37 win over Texas Tech last week. Entering that contest, the Longhorns knew they would have to outscore the Red Raiders and their prolific quarterback Patrick Mahomes (367 yards, 3 touchdowns against Texas) and they did just that. Running back D’Onta Foreman was the star of the show as he carried the ball 33 times for an incredible 341 yards and three touchdowns. Foreman’s performance made him the nation’s leader in rushing yards per game (180.8) and has entered his name in the Heisman race.
West Virginia will be a formidable foe for the Longhorns, as the Mountaineers have only been tripped up once this season (a 37-20 loss at Oklahoma State on Oct. 29). West Virginia pounded a weak Kansas team Saturday 48-21 behind a strong performance from quarterback Skyler Howard (260 passing yards, 3 touchdowns) and running backs Justin Crawford (129 rushing yards, 1 touchdown) and Kennedy McKoy (127 rushing yards).

If you go, there will be a special treat ushering in the game. UT Austin officials said a flyover will be performed just before kickoff in keeping with the tradition for a home game nearest to Veterans Day. The Air National Guard 138th Fighter Wing from Tulsa, Okla. will execute a four-jet F-16 flyover following the national anthem, university officials said.
As if that weren't enough of a spectacle, the U.S. Army's Golden Knights Parachute team will skydive onto Joe Jamail Field to present the American, Texas and Longhorns flags and game ball, school officials said. The flyover starts at around 11 am.
