AUSTIN, TX — A noted artist from Mexico will stop in Austin as part of a traveling art exhibition in observance of Día de los Muertos this month.

Tequila Cazadores has partnered with acclaimed Mexican street and textile artist Victoria Villasana re-imagine a camper as the “Altar of Arandas” — an authentic ofrenda (altar) celebrate the lives of the living and dead. His exhibition will be traveling to bars across the country, including a stop at Lustre Pearl Rainey in Austin, before traveling to Phoenix and ending in San Diego at one of the country’s largest Día de los Muertos festivals.

The educational and immersive experience will take guests through a journey where they will learn about the history of the holiday and participate in centuries-old traditions, as well as enjoy delicious Tequila Cazadores cocktails. Before entering the Altar from Arandas, guests will be encouraged to print a photograph of a lost loved one, which will be framed and designed in Villasana’’s signature style. Following the experience, guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary Día de los Muertos cocktail at Lustre Pearl Rainey.
