Paramount And Stateside Theaters Fall/Winter Season Tix Available

Array of live music, comedic performances, theater and storytelling kicks off in September and runs into early 2019.

AUSTIN, TX — The Paramount and Stateside Theaters have released individual tickets for their 2018 Fall/Winter season shows, which include an array of live music, comedic performances, theater and storytelling beginning in September and running into early 2019.

From musical performers to stage shows and storytellers, performances Include Graham Nash, Neal Brennan, Ira Glass, The Flatlanders, The Moth, Boz Scaggs, Ruthie Foster, Tom Papa, Potted Potter, Wynton Marsalis, David Sedaris, and more. Single tickets are available for purchase at www.austintheatre.org/season.

The fall season schedule kicks off in September with stellar musical performers right out of the gate: Legendary two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Graham Nash on Sept. 19; Shinyribs, fronted by Gourds cofounder Kevin Russell, on Sept. 21; and on Saturday, Sept. 22 The Flatlanders, comprising Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely, and Butch Hancock, will play the Paramount stage while Darden Smith performs at Stateside.

Further ahead in the season comes music from versatile singer/songwriter/guitarist Boz Scaggs; Ray Wylie Hubbard, who will bring his annual birthday bash back to the Paramount; Wynton Marsalis and his Grammy Award-winning holiday extravaganza with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra; Terry Allen, who has been joined by an all-star band at the Paramount for the past two years; Grammy-nominated Austin blues artist Ruthie Foster; and more.

Comedy fans won't be left out of the fun, particularly with launch of the Moontower Comedy Festival. Moontower alum, three-time Emmy nominated writer, director, producer and stand-up comedian Neal Brennan, is headed to the Stateside this fall, as is another festival alum and one of the top comedic voices in the country, Tom Papa. Later in the season at the Paramount, comedy fans can check out Bassem Youssef, who’s been dubbed the Jon Stewart of the Arab world and was the host of popular political satire show in the Middle East, AlBernameg.

Amazing storytelling, whether through spoken-word or theater, has always been warmly received at the Paramount, and this season is no different. Early December will see This American Life host and creator, Ira Glass, as well as Paramount audience-favorite The Moth take over the Paramount stage. Potted Potter, which has been playing to sold-out houses all over the world, is back by popular demand for a run November 13–18. The crowd favorite condenses all seven Harry Potter books into seventy hilarious minutes of Potter parody that’s perfect for all ages.

Individual tickets are also on sale now for Discovery Series shows in the 2018 Fall/Winter Season. These family-friendly presentations include a range of productions for children of all ages, kicking off with Tomás and The Library Lady on October 21st, and continuing in the beginning of 2019 with Gretel! The Musical, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, and Me… Jane: The Dreams & Adventures of Young Jane Goodall.
