Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By 2 Cars In South Austin
Police said the victim was struck along a darkened stretch of roadway along the 6700 block of Bluff Springs Road early Friday morning.
AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was killed after being struck twice by vehicles in South Austin early Friday morning, police confirmed.
The incident occurred in a dark stretch of roadway along the 6700 block of Bluff Springs Road just before 1:30 a.m., police said in an email. The driver of the first vehicle that hit the person contacted police when he heard there had been a fatality, officials said, and the driver's car subsequently was impounded. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with a police investigation, law enforcement officials added.
Police noted no arrests have been made. No further details — including the victim's age and gender — were released, but police indicated they would share more information once it becomes available. Patch will update when further details are known.
